Education
The SCID group contributes to the education of future product designers via the following courses:
- The Interactive Technology Design (ITD) course within the Design for Interaction master program takes the students through the entire process of developing a working (software) prototype, starting with developing a design vision up to building a working prototype, supported by a series of lectures corresponding to each design phase.
- The Information and Interaction lab course teaches Industrial Design students Macromedia Director, an authoring tool often used for (multimedia) presentations and (interactive) demos.
- The Software in Design (SID) lab course teaches Industrial Design students the basics of programming using Microsoft Visual Basic .NET.
The SCID group often has 'onderzoeksleer' projects for bachelor students and graduation projects for master students. Those who are interested and would like to participate in the research can contact David Keyson for information.
