Usability in the Development of Consumer Electronics
Hello. I am Jasper van Kuijk, a PhD candidate studying consumer product usability, with consumer electronics in particular. The aim of my study is to investigate what aspects of the product development process influence the usability of the products that are produced. So for example, does it matter how big your product portfolio is? What usability methods do companies apply in practice? How does a designer go about when trying to design a 'usable' product? In order to get a grip on these issues I conduct interviews and case studies at major consumer electronics manufacturers.

two minute explanation
In a hurry? Check this 2 minute presentation in which I explain the purpose and setup of my research.
