The Experience of Love in Person-Product Relationships
LOVE can be perceived as a rewarding, dynamic, and long-term relationship people have with special products they own and use. In this PhD research, I investigated the rewards, time phases, and dynamics of person-product love relationships.
The goal was to understand how relationships between people and loved products 'work' in order to derive insights that could help design products that are more rewarding and that people would want to use for longer.
Insights presented are not only useful to those interested in researching love for products in more depth but also provides insights that can help designers facilitate the experience of love for products and improve user's relationships with products.
