Background of my graduation project

All my life I had a strong fascination for electronically generated sounds, the way musicians use them in their musical pieces and in particular the machinery that they use for it. I'm interested in the relationship between the musicians and their equipment and how they interact with it. How do they translate the sounds that they have in mind to their vastly knob- and sliderequipped instruments? Is it possible to design an interaction that is as straightforward and intimate as for example the interaction with a guitar or a violin? And is it possible to create a need to train this interaction before being able to get the most out of this new instrument? maths:
